A course of 2 treatment sessions of Profhilo Structura is recommended, spaced 30 days apart. This allows the product enough time to stimulate regeneration within the superficial fat layer beneath the skin. Some patients may begin to notice improvements after the first treatment, with results continuing to develop over time as the tissue regenerates. During your initial consultation with Dr Anna Hemming at our skin clinic, we will assess your skin quality, facial structure and treatment goals. That way we can determine whether Profhilo Structura is suitable for you.

Many patients notice an immediate lift after their first treatment. However, results become more prominent in the 2 months following the full course of 2 sessions.

Results last between 6 to 12 months, depending on the condition of your skin and underlying fat layer. Within a few weeks, Profhilo Structura regenerates adipose (fat) tissue in the cheeks, lifting and hydrating the subcutaneous layer. The effect can also improve skin hydration in the dermis, reducing crepey skin and enhancing smoothness.

Typically, we recommend a review after 6 to 12 months to assess if further treatment is needed. For patients with significantly depleted skin, sessions may be scheduled closer together initially.

After treatment, some patients may experience slight swelling or minor bruising at the injection sites, which usually subsides within a few hours. This treatment is designed to fit seamlessly into your routine, allowing you to continue with your day as normal.

Profhilo Structura is considered safe, carrying minimal risks such as temporary redness, swelling or bruising at injection sites. We take every precaution to ensure safety. The treatment is administered using a cannula, which reduces the risk of vascular complications compared to traditional needle injections. We require every patient to have an initial consultation with Dr Anna, who will thoroughly assess your suitability before any treatment is carried out.

This treatment is minimally painful and relatively quick. Before injection, we apply a numbing injection or cream to the cannula site to minimise discomfort. Profhilo Structura is then administered via a single injection site using a cannula. Due to this, most patients remark on how pain-free the treatment is.

First your medical history will be taken followed by an examination of your skin concerns. You can discuss whether Profhilo Structura treatment is suitable for you and address your expectations from treatment. When the treatment has been fully explained you will be required to sign a consent form and a photograph will be taken for your confidential records.

Following cleansing local anaesthetic can be applied if needed.

Your Profhlio Structura treatment will then commence with superficial single site injection.

Following treatment you an antiseptic cream or lotion will be applied, normally Clinisept+

Treatment is a safe and effective way of tightening and lifting your skin.

Your comfort levels and expectations are important factors which are considered in your consultation.

Profhilo Structura treatment can be used on the lower face, injected in two specific ways depending on your goals.

Treatment is offered as a 2 session course (using 90mg/2ml Profhilo Structura  per session) with 30 days between treatments.

Side effects are minimal if any. Injection site tenderness and mild bruising may occur.

It should not to be used if pregnant or breast feeding as we have no research to prove it is safe for your foetus or child.

Care must be taken if diagnosed with neurological or bleeding disorders, currently suffering with a skin infection or allergy or taking particular medication. Your specialist will be able to advise you further.

Please discuss any current medication with the doctor, especially if you are taking aspirin on Ibuprofen. Medication may need to be stopped before treatment.

• There may be some tenderness, redness, swelling and bruising around the injection site. This is normal and will subside, usually within a few days (or hours).
• If swelling or pain persists or you are concerned, please contact the clinic as soon as possible.
• Use a cold pack to reduce swelling and /or redness.
• Do not massage or manipulate the treated area.
• Apply a SPF 30+ sun screen. Recommended ZO skin health SPF 30 + primer, or ZO Skin Health Sheer SPF50.
• Stay hydrated
• No recover times is required and you can return to your daily activities immediately.
• Avoid any further cosmetic procedures for 2 days after treatment.
• Avoid wearing make up for 12 hours post treatment
• Avoid extreme temperatures (hot and cold) for a minimum of 7 days after treatment (no saunas, steam rooms, sun beds or sun exposure).
• Avoid touching treatment area without first cleaning hands (can use Clinicsept+)
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
• Avoid Swimming for 48 hours
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after treatment

Ensure you have booked your second treatment 30 days after the first and a follow up 1 month after your second treatment.
