No. SmoothEye® is not the same as blepharoplasty. It can improve skin firmness and mild laxity, but it does not remove excess skin in the way surgery can.
SmoothEye® may help with mild hooding or early eyelid laxity. If brow heaviness is also contributing, VectorLift® may be recommended. Significant hooding may require a surgical opinion.
Most patients tolerate the treatment well. You may feel warmth, heat or a prickling sensation. Numbing cream may be used depending on your sensitivity and treatment plan.
A course of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is usually recommended. Some patients may need additional sessions depending on skin laxity and goals.
Downtime is usually minimal. Some patients experience mild redness for 24 hours and dryness or flaking for a few days.
Some patients notice early tightening or freshness soon after treatment. The main collagen response develops gradually over 4–8 weeks and can continue to improve after a course of treatments.
Results vary depending on age, skin quality, sun exposure, lifestyle and maintenance. Many patients choose maintenance treatment every 6–12 months.

This depends on the amount of excess skin, eyelid heaviness, brow position, skin quality and your goals. Dr Anna will assess this during consultation and explain what is realistically achievable with laser.
