With the unique combination of these two technologies, your treatment can be customized to maximize the results of your specific aesthetic needs. The procedure

Following  your initial new patient consultation with Dr Hemming we will discuss your treatment goals and plan for your treatment. Thames Skin Clinic will check your medical history is suitable for treatment and you will sign a consent form. We record all of our patients photographs for comparison later.

Before the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied and/or a prescribed medication will be provided to ensure comfort during the entire procedure.

Your comfort levels and expectations are important factors which are considered in your consultation.

Treatment Areas

The Secret PRO treatment is ideal for skin revitalization of the face, neck, decollete, stomach, knees, and other body areas.

How many treatments will I need?

RF MICRONEEDLING:

Patients typically need 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. Most patients report seeing improvement after the second treatment, but optimal results appear 3 months after the last treatment.

CO2 ULTRA LIGHT:

Most patients will need 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Your provider will create an ideal treatment plan customized for you, depending on your skin concerns.

CO2 ULTRA:

Most patients see significant improvement after just 1 treatment.

CO2 & RF MICRONEEDLING REVIVE:

The number of treatments will depend on the conditions being treated. 1-3 treatments are usually required, and they are generally performed 3-6 weeks apart. Your provider will discuss and determine your treatment plan during your initial consultation.

When will I see results?

RF MICRONEEDLING:

Best results are seen 3 months after the last treatment. To maintain your results, maintenance treatments can be done every 12-18 months after the initial series.

 

CO2 ULTRA LIGHT:

After the exfoliation process is complete, you will see immediate changes in your skin’s tone and texture that will progressively improve after each treatment.

 

CO2 ULTRA:

After the exfoliation process is complete, you will see immediate improvements in your skin’s appearance, which will progressively improve over the next 3-6 months as new collagen is produced.

 

CO2 & RF MICRONEEDLING REVIVE:

Most patients see improvements after 4-6 days or when the exfoliation process is complete. Results will continue to improve over the next 3-4 months after the treatment. Superficial procedures results are visible sooner than deeper treatments. Improvements will appear gradually over the days and weeks following your procedure series, as your skin repairs itself and new collagen forms.

Am I suitable for treatment?

RF MICRONEEDLING:

Secret PRO Refine is an excellent treatment for patients with all skin tones, looking to improve the skin’s appearance on the face and body, all year long, with little to no downtime.

 

CO2 ULTRA LIGHT:

Secret PRO Ultra-Light is safe and effective on patients with fair to medium skin tones. It’s ideal for maintaining youthful-looking skin with a series of quick healing treatments.

 

CO2 ULTRA:

Secret PRO Ultra is safe and effective on patients with fair to medium skin tones. It’s ideal for reversing the signs of aging skin with a single treatment.

 

CO2 & RF MICRONEEDLING REVIVE:

Secret PRO Revive safely and effectively provides skin resurfacing and revitalisation for fair to medium skin tones.

Side effects

RF MICRONEEDLING:

Typically, there is no downtime after the treatment. Your skin will have moderate redness after the treatment, which will subside significantly within a few hours. Your face will feel warm, like being in the sun, which also goes away within a few hours. You can expect to return to your normal activities immediately following your treatment. You may have some slight flushing the next day, which can be covered with make.

CO2:

Immediately after the treatment, your skin will be red, feel hot as if you have a sunburn, and very sensitive to touch. Your provider will offer a topical skincare regimen following the treatment to improve your comfort and the healing process. The next day, you may be swollen, and you will notice a pattern forming over the treatment area from the microscopic perforations that will begin to scab and sluff off over the next week. The exfoliation process typically lasts 5-7 days.

Multiple treatments may be required

Notify clinic of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, persistent grid pattern, etc.)

Please discuss any current medication with the doctor, especially if you are taking aspirin on Ibuprofen. Medication may need to be stopped before treatment.

Aftercare

RF MICRONEEDLING:

  • Immediately post-treatment, apply gauze soaked in isotonic saline solution to the treatment area and let sit for 5-15 minutes
  • After saline solution soak, apply a post-procedure product if desired
  • Wait at least 4 hours before washing face or applying soap, cream or makeup to the treatment area
  • Avoid sun exposure and use a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to prevent further sun damage
  • Avoid heat – hot tubs, saunas, etc. for 1-2 days
  • Avoid skin irritants (examples below) a few days before and after treatment

Products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, vitamin C/ascorbic acid, astringents, etc.

  • Bruising, redness, swelling or a grid pattern may occur and resolve with time
    • More aggressive treatments or use of irritants in the days prior to or after treatment can lead to longer downtime
  • Multiple treatments are required
  • Notify clinic of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, persistent grid pattern, etc.)
  • Consult with clinic about when to resume skin care regime

CO2:

  • Do not wash your face for at least 6-8 hours post-treatment
  • Wash and pat dry the skin gently twice day until the crusting naturally exfoliates/sloughs off
  • Apply ZO hydrating cream to the treatment area twice a day for 2 weeks or until the area is fully healed
  • Apply sunblock every 3 to 4 hours for a minimum of 2 weeks to a month after your procedure to help prevent UV-induced pigmentation
  • Do not wear a face masks until the fine scabbing/crusting has exfoliated or sloughed off (up to 5 days)
  • Avoid skin irritants (examples below) for 7-10 days after treatment

Products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, vitamin C/ascorbic acid, astringents, etc.

  • Avoid sauna and aggressive exercises for 1-2 weeks
  • Optional to keep your skin cool and moisturized by spraying with cold water during the healing process
  • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water
  • Consult with clinic about when to resume skin care regime.

I have been coming to Dr Anna Hemming for wrinkle treatment for the past 4 years. I’m always happy with the fresher natural look she gives me. I look younger!

I received Fractora treatment now 3 weeks ago from Dr Hemming. There has been a slow healing and gradually I see myself less tired looking and my lines have noticeably reduced . The beginnings of a jowel I had along my jawline has disappeared which is exactly the part of my face that bothered me most. It seems as if I’ve had a face lift! My skin is firmer and the hollows less deep. I dare say I look younger.

Go, you will not be disappointed.

I have recently moved to Barnes and was searching for someone that could deliver wrinkle injections on my skin but I wanted someone reputable, Doctor led, and that didn’t over do my face as I don’t want it to look like I have treatments. I’ve had the pleasure of going to Dr Anna for a few years now and was delighted when she opened The Thames Skin Clinic as so close to where I live.
