Will I feel any pain or discomfort during my treatment?
HydraFaical Keravive is a relaxing treatment.
While having a HydraFacial Keravive treatment you may will feel a slight suction on the scalp and flow of product onto the skin surface, the solution can feel a little cool and soothing. You may also feel some tingling sensations when the active ingredients are applied. Slight erythema (redness, pink Hugh) can been seen on the Scalp after the treatment, this is a great sign that stimulation has occurred.
Are there any side effects to treatment or risks associated?
There are no side effects and risks to having this treatment done.
We do not recommend treatment if you have an allergy to Asprin.
How much downtime is usually needed and what should I expect?
There is no physical downtime at all following a HydraFacial Keravive treatment.
We recommend waiting for the product to absorb and dry fully into the scalp and hair before trying to style it.
Preferably just leave Keravive to soak in and avoid touching and styling the hair until the following day, it is best to avoid using heating devices.

Procedure
Following a consultation with one of our wonderful Thames Skin Therapists or your initial new patient consultation with Dr Hemming we will discuss your treatment goals and plan for your treatments. Thames Skin Clinic will check your medical history is suitable for treatment and you will sign a consent form. We record all of our patients photographs for comparison later.
We recommend you arrive in clinic with clean dry hair before having your treatment.
It is helpful if you can identify 2-3 main areas of concern to focus on in each treatment.

Side Effects
Side effects are minimal if any.
If you have an allergy to Aspirin we may be able to tailor you treatment to enable you to have a keravive hydrafacial.
Treatment is relaxing. painless and doesn’t irritated the skin. A few patients may experience slight redness which can last for a couple of hours.
On very rare occasions redness may continue for a day or so and sensitive skin around the scalp can become swollen, a cold compress will help should this side effect occur.
Treatment is not suitable if you
- Have true allergies to aspirin.
Please discuss any current medication with the doctor, especially if you are taking aspirin on Ibuprofen. Medication may need to be stopped before treatment.

How to use the Keravive Peptide Complex Spray.
To use the spray, place the nozzle directly on your scalp and spray onto your areas of concern.
After spraying the solution massage into scalp for 30 seconds.
For best results apply in the evening just before bed allowing the product to remain on the scalp overnight.
We recommend monthly treatment for three months.
Following which patients choose a maintenance programme of treatment depending on the initial condition and goals of treatment.
