Thames Skin Clinics (“We”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy (together with our terms of use and any other documents referred to therein) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

For collecting data covered by The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) the Data Controller is Anna Hemming.

We will only use your information within the permissions you give us and the boundaries set out in our policy. We will never use your information for any other purposes or share it with any third parties.

We endeavour to ensure that all data is:

  • Accurate at all times
  • Relevant and comprehensive without being excessive
  • Processed for limited purposes
  • Not kept longer than necessary
  • Not transferred to non-EEA countries without sufficient protection

 

What kind of data do we collect?

We only collect data that is relevant to the service that we provide. This may include some or all of the following details: your name, address, email address, telephone number, and some medical information. We will also require payment details if you are booking a treatment online. All of this data is collected through our website and is disclosed only at your discretion.

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in an enquiry form on our site. We will use this information to send answers to your enquiries only. We may also ask for further information if you are reporting problems with our website. This will be stored: on our email system. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete these emails.
  • Information that you provide by registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. This will be stored: on the WordPress database, or MailChimp list. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders. This will be stored: on the WordPress database and our email system. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, deleting your account will leave the order in place but your contact details will be deleted.
  • Information that you provide by filling in a newsletter request form on our site. This is provided by MailChimp. This will be stored: on our Mailchimp account. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time – unsubscribe at the bottom of the next newsletter.
  • If you contact us by email, we will keep a record of that correspondence. This will be stored: on our email system. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete these mails.
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access. This will be stored: on our Google Analytics account – see our Cookie Policy for further information.

How do we use this data?

We use information held about you in the following ways:

  • To reply to your enquiries.
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so.

If you are an existing customer, we will contact you by phone, e-mail or SMS with information about goods and services like those which were the subject of a previous sale to you.

You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

Any personal information that you provide will only be kept for as long as necessary. The data will then be archived or destroyed, unless we need to retain it for legal, accounting, regulatory, or auditory requirements or to protect the company’s interests.

 

Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to members of our company, which means our parent company, its subsidiaries and colleagues where appropriate.

Where we store your personal data

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our servers (see above: Information we may collect from you). Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology, and processed by an external payment processor i.e. PayPal, Stripe or other. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

 

User Agreement

When you provide information to Thames Skin Clinic, you certify that all such information is accurate and may be used as we see fit to improve the service we provide (in accordance with our Privacy Policy). You certify that you have read, understood, and consented in full to our Privacy Policy and Terms.

You have the right to request a copy of any personal information we hold about you. We charge an administration fee of £10 for this service, which will also allow you to correct any inaccuracies present in said information.

 

Terms of Use

By using the Thames Skin Clinic website, you agree to the following terms and conditions of use:

  • You use this website at your own risk. We will not be held responsible for any issues that arise, directly or indirectly, from the use of our website.
  • No information contained within the our website shall constitute a contract with any user. All information is for reference only and may be changed at any time without notice.
  • We shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from the use of information on this website. Use at your own risk.
  • We may link to other websites that we deem useful or relevant. We are not responsible for the content of these third party websites and shall not be held liable for any issues that occur on linked sites.
  • We do not take any responsibility for data loss or damage to software or computer systems as a result of downloading material from the Thames Skin Clinic website. This term applies even if we have been advised that such damage may occur.

These terms apply regardless of device used to access the our website. We reserve the right to alter these terms at any time, without warning, as we see fit.

This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

If you believe that we have done something wrong by not complying with GDPR please contact us in the first instance to make a complaint for which we aim to resolve. Should you not be happy with this resolution, you do have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

GDPR gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
