Weight management medication has been licensed by the FDA since 2014 and in the UK. Sicne 2017. As with many medications, the unique weight management effect was discovered when the medication was used for a totally different condition. It was discovered that patients taking Liragultide (the name of the drug in skinny pen) were able to control their appetite and did not crave foods in the same way as their peers.
Skinny pen is a weight loss medication containing the active substance liraglutide. It is similar to a natural occurring hormone called glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1). This peptide is realease from your intestine after a meal. It works by acting on receptors in the brain that control your appetite, causing you to feel fuller and less hungry; helping you to eat less and reduce your body weight.
- Safe and in compliance with European and FDA standards
- Self administered
- Easy to use in a dose adjustable pen, prefilled with the medication
- Medication is taken once a day
- Users follow the administration and dosage instructions given by their practitioner
- Used in combination with reduced calorie diet and increased exercises

We often get asked about the cost of treatment. At Thames Skin Clinic we pride ourselves on results rather than focus on the price of a treatment, it is more important that we get the correct quality of product rather than offer cut price treatments, products and services (especially when it comes to medical treatments). You will never see Thames Skin Clinic advertising services on social coupon sites such as Groupon as we believe they have a negative impact on our customer safety, results and satisfaction. We also wish to abide by the advertising regulator and work in a safe ethical manor.
