Fotona HAIRestart® is a non-invasive laser scalp treatment designed to stimulate the scalp, support dormant follicles and encourage natural hair growth where follicles remain active.
Yes. HAIRestart® may be suitable for both men and women experiencing hair thinning, reduced density or early hair loss.
The treatment is usually well tolerated. Patients generally feel warmth or gentle heating of the scalp.
A course of 8 treatments every 2 weeks is usually recommended. Dr Anna will advise the most appropriate plan after consultation.
There is usually no downtime. Most patients return to normal activities immediately.
Hair growth takes time. Some patients may notice improvement within the first few months, but results vary depending on the cause and severity of hair thinning.
HAIRestart® works best where follicles are still present but underactive. It is unlikely to regrow hair in areas where follicles have been permanently lost for many years.
Yes, in suitable patients. Minoxidil and HAIRestart® work in different ways and may be combined as part of a medical hair restoration plan.
Yes, in suitable male patients where finasteride is appropriate. Dr Anna will discuss risks, benefits and alternatives before prescribing.
Yes. HAIRestart® may be combined with PRP, exosomes, DERIVE™ or other regenerative scalp treatments depending on the treatment plan.
Some patients may benefit from blood tests, especially where hair shedding is sudden, diffuse, unexplained, linked to fatigue, hormones, nutrition or medical symptoms. Dr Anna will advise during consultation.
HAIRestart® is not a hair transplant. It supports existing follicles and scalp health. Patients with advanced hair loss may need to discuss transplant options or combination treatment.
Results vary depending on the cause of hair loss, maintenance, hormones, genetics and ongoing scalp care. Maintenance treatment or a long-term programme may be recommended.
Dr Anna will assess the pattern and cause of your hair thinning before recommending the most appropriate treatment or combination plan.
