Fotona 4D® is a non-surgical laser treatment that combines multiple laser modes to improve skin tightening, collagen stimulation and facial rejuvenation.
Fotona 5D builds on the 4D approach with additional tailoring, allowing the treatment to be adapted to skin quality, facial laxity, surface texture and collagen loss.
It is not a surgical facelift. Fotona can improve mild to moderate laxity and skin firmness, but it does not remove excess skin or reposition tissue in the way surgery can.
Fotona may help improve early jowling and lower-face laxity by stimulating collagen and improving tissue firmness. More advanced jowling may need combination treatment or surgical assessment.
It may help soften nasolabial folds by improving collagen support and tissue quality, particularly through intraoral and external tightening steps. Results vary depending on anatomy and severity.
Most patients tolerate treatment well. You may feel warmth, heat, tightness or prickling depending on the stage of treatment.
A course of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is commonly recommended. Some patients may need additional sessions depending on skin laxity, collagen loss and goals.
Some patients notice early tightening or freshness within the first week. More meaningful collagen-based results usually develop over 4–8 weeks and can continue improving for several months.
Many Fotona 4D® / 5D treatments have minimal downtime. If a stronger surface refresh or resurfacing step is included, redness, dryness, peeling or flaking may occur.
Not exactly. Fotona stimulates collagen and improves skin firmness, while filler restores or adds volume. Some patients benefit from laser alone, while others may benefit from a combination plan.
Yes, in suitable patients. Fotona may be combined with anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, polynucleotides, exosomes or skin boosters, but timing and sequencing must be planned carefully.
Fotona settings can be adjusted, but suitability depends on skin type, pigmentation risk, tanning, medication and medical history. This is assessed during consultation.
Results vary depending on skin quality, age, lifestyle, sun exposure and maintenance. Many patients choose maintenance treatment annually or every 12–18 months.
Dr Anna will assess your skin, facial structure, laxity, volume, texture and goals before recommending the most appropriate option or combination.
