We are CQC Registered

Posted 03/11/2020 | Uncategorised

We are delighted to announce that Thames Skin Clinic is CQC registered.

What does CQC mean?

The CQC is the independent regulator for health and social care in England and stands for the care quality commission. The role of the CQC us to ensure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.

How do you register with the CQC?

The registration process involves providing evidence that we run a safe, caring, high quality service as set out in the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
Over the past few months Dr Hemming has worked with the CQC to ensure that Thames Skin Clinics standards, policies and purpose reaches and exceeds the requirements for CQC registration. As a result we have been assessed and passed our registration interviews and following the last CQC board panel we now appear on the CQC website as a CQC registered clinic.

What does this mean for the Clinic?

Thames Skin Clinic is now the only fully register medical clinic in Twickenham, we work within a regulated clinic and building with a medical licence to practice. This means that we can continue to develop our treatments and offer regulated services.
Initially this means we can now develop our Weight Management Services in clinic as well as offer Hyperhydrosis and Sweat reduction treatment. These are treatments that we have offered in other CQC registered clinic sites in the past, but we need to have our own registration to offer within our beautiful new Clinic here in Twickenham.

What does this mean for you?

For our patients our services remain just the same. Personal, professional, effective and results driven. However you can now feel even more secure with the knowledge that we are regulated by the CQC and provide the highest level of care within skin and aesthetic clinics.

What does this mean for Dr Anna?

Well after months of late nights putting the policy wording together and working in the clinic to ensure that the regulations are put into practice she can now focus more time to developing further wonderful services and leading her team to bigger and greater things.

What are Thames Skin Clinic’s next plans?

We are recruiting for a clinic coordinator to join us in the coming months, in face we are already into the penultimate round of interviews. We look forward to welcoming our new team member into the clinic very soon.
