Skin Tag and Mole Removal

Posted 13/08/2020 | Uncategorised

Over the past few months we have heard from many patients wanting to know more about skin tag removal, Wart removal, Xanthelasma removal (little fatty deposits under and around the eyes) as well as mole removal.

At Thames Skin Clinic we use an extremely safe, effective non surgical method for the treatment of moles, skin tags, xanthelasma, warts, verruca and scarring known as Plasma treatment.

Plasma treatment, also known as Plexr soft surgery or Plasma surgery, is a revolutionary invention in the field of non surgical aesthetic medicine. Allowing delicate and specialised surgical treatments to be performed in a minimally invasive procedure.

Using advanced focused Plasma technology to remove skin tissue in a process called sublimation. The skin is effectively destroyed leaving a sterile cap on the skin which heals underneath.

Plasma is also used in the treatment of skin tightening and deep static lines, acne scars and other scarring. Plasma treatment triggers a contraction of the skin fibres to bring about a tightening, lifting and remodelling effect. Plasma treatment is perfect for delicate non surgical eye lid tightening surgery (blepharoplasty) as well as other skin tightening treatments;

  • Upper and Lower eye lid blepharoplasty
  • Brow Lift
  • Milia removal
  • Xanthelasma (fatty eye deposits)
  • Crows feet
  • Smile lines
  • Lines around the mouth (bar code lines)
  • Full face skin tightening
  • Skin Tags
  • Mole and wart removal
  • Xanthelasma removal
  • Cherry angioma removal
  • Strawberry naevus removal in adults
  • Scar and Stretch mark improvement
  • Acne Scarring improvement
  • Selective tattoo removal

So, what is plasma treatment

Treatment is

  • Safe and in compliance with European and FDA standards
  • Focused and targeted to delivery precise results.
  • Plasma treatment is much less invasive than laser or diathermy or surgery
  • There is minimal downtime and risk of complication associated with Plasma treatment vs surgery.

Treatment works by forming plasma (the fourth state of matter) in the 1-2mm space between the tip of the device and the skin. Plasma forms a tiny arch which triggers a process called sublimation – where a solid turns straight into a gas – this in turn causes skin fibres to shrink, contract and tighten. Removing skin lesions using plasma is quick and painless under local anaesthetic.

When used for skin rejuvenation and blepharoplasty treatment, Plasma tightens the skin fibres which contracts the surface area of the skin, creating an improvement in the appearance of drooping or sagging skin on the face, eyelids etc. Due to the precise nature of Plasma, where plasma is very accurately directed and doesn’t transfer to the surrounding tissues, Plasma is a safe and comfortable treatment.

Other skin tightening treatments include Fractora. However few treatments are suitable for the delicate skin of the eye lid making plasma treatment the perfect option for xanthelasma, skin tags around the eye and eye lid tightening treatments.
